| June 14, 2011 To celebrate the end of another successful season, 500 members of the NYRR Young Runners program gave it their all on Tuesday, June 14, at the 2011 Young Runners Championships. The day started out with a 5K race around Randall's Island. Later, Young Runners also competed in the mile, two-mile, and 400-meter runs before ending the meet with speedy relays around Icahn Stadium's world-class track. Mohammad Hamden and Josephine Garcia won the Rosenberg Can Do Anything Two-Mile Invitational in 12:23.60 and 16:07.90, respectively.
