| May 17, 2011 Undeterred by the threat of rain, thousands of runners and walkers took to the streets of the Financial District for this three-mile fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Their efforts supported the AHA's mission: encouraging Americans to live fitter, healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Led by winners Jorge Real (15:10) and Jeanna Composti (17:38), finishers joined friends and family in the North Cove Marina for heart-healthy post-race festivities including free health screening, nutrition and fitness information, resources on heart disease and stroke, product sampling, and more.
