| December 4, 2011 The final team points race of the year was a victory lap for the men of West Side Runners (WSX), who followed up their triumph at the ING New City Marathon with yet another win. Second place went to Central Park Track Club New Balance (CPTC), and the Van Cortlandt Track Club took third. The women's race was won by the newcomers of Henwood's Hounds Racing Team (HHRT), followed by CPTC and Athena New York. Fikadu Lemma of WSX outran his teammate Tesfaye Assefa Dube by 15 seconds to win the men's individual race in 24:25, with CPTC's Chris Spooner in third; HHRC swept the podium spots in the women's race via the efforts of Kelly Chin (28:16), Ana Johnson (29:18), and Melissa Raddatz (29:54). Masters team titles were won by Urban Athletics (men 40+), Athena NY (women 40+ and 50+), CPTC (men 50+), the Taconic Road Runners (men 60+), and the Millrose Athletic Association (women 60+). Final yearly team standings will be posted when results are finalized. |
