The great racing conditions in Central Park held up for a second straight week, and 4,937 runners came out to welcome the burgeoning cherry blossoms that lined the course of the City Parks Foundation Run for the Parks 4-Mile. The 54-degree weather contributed to fast times--especially for Lauren Laroche, 25, of Astoria, NY, who won the women's race in 24:05, and Craig Segal, 26, of Highlands, NJ, who took top honors among the men in 20:14.  A world-class age-group performance was turned in by Ginette Bedard of Howard Beach, NY, who ran a remarkable 34:22 at age 77.
