It was perfect—the weather, the timing (first day of spring), the course, the excitement at the front of the pack. And some 10,000 runners responded by celebrating for 13.1 miles through the heart of Manhattan, and creating 10,000 stories of challenge and triumph.

The tireless Carrie Tollefson—Olympian and NYRR TV commentator extraordinaire, interviewed 12-year-old Adam Sirota at the start.
