| June 11, 2011 The NYRR New York Mini 10K may be world famous as the original women-only road race, but to New York–area women, the race is also a special opportunity to shine both as individuals and members of local running teams. And so, as they welcomed athletes from across the country and around the world to join them over the challenging terrain of "their" Central Park, the local women also ran their hearts out in pursuit of team bragging rights in this NYRR team-points series scoring race. In the open division, the top three scoring teams were West Side Runners, New York Athletic Club, and Central Park Track Club New Balance.
