| June 5, 2011 At the first ever NYRR Celebrate Israel Run Presented by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, racers overcame the temptation to sleep in when they completed the four-mile loop from East Drive to the 72nd Street Transverse in Central Park. Race winners Harrison Lakehomer and Maria Lauretani led the way for 5177 finishers. Local runners will be looking to improve their performance at the next NYRR 4-mile race on the same course—the Central Park Conservancy Run for Central Park, which still has space available—on July 16.
