| September 24, 2011 New York-area runners brought their A-game to the Fifth Avenue Mile, one of the most fun and spirited races on the NYRR calendar. This year's race brought an extra element of competition, thanks to its inclusion in the NYRR team-points series for the first time in recent memory. Hundreds of athletes of all ages and fitness levels ran their best mile down the city's famous thoroughfare as family, friends, and teammates cheered them on.
