| March 6, 2011 A chilly March rain did little to dampen the spirits of more than 5,000 runners in the 13th annual Coogan's Salsa, Blues, and Shamrocks 5K. Spurred on by live bands playing (you guessed it) salsa, blues, and traditional Irish folk music, runners tackled a challenging, hilly, out-and-back course. And many of NYRR's smallest athletes came out to compete in kids' races, and cheer on the grownups.
