| June 4, 2011 Students from more than 100 NYC public schools traveled to Icahn Stadium on Saturday, June 4, to compete in the City Championship meet as part of the Department of Education NYC Developmental Track & Field Series. Qualifying elementary and middle school athletes vied for top spots in sprints, distance runs, shot put, long jump, and relays. Congratulations to all of this year's champions, including middle schooler Richard Rose, who ran a speedy 22.72 for the 200-meter dash!
