April 3, 2010
Defending-champion teams from last year maintained their form in this second NYRR team-points race of 2010. In the open women’s division, the 2009 winners from the New York Athletic Club (NYAC) extended their 2010 lead; the open men’s 2009 champions, West Side Runners, tied NYAC at one victory apiece this year. Masters’ team wins went to the men of Urban Athletics and the women of Running Divas New York, both 2009 champions, and the men and women of CPTC kept up their winning ways in the 50+ division. And yes, the 60+ men of Taconic Road Runners and the 60+ women of CPTC, who won in 2009, won again as well. 52-degree weather at the start contributed to fast times for all.
