Gorgeous weather and burgeoning spring foliage made the Run for the Parks a race for an obviously good cause. A record 5,279 finishers—2,685 men and 2,594 women—toured a four-mile loop of Central Park on a day of terrific racing conditions, and the times were fast. Kids’ races followed, and many participants made it a family outing under clear skies and drifting cherry blossoms. [Results] |
