In its eighth year, this event brings awareness and funding to the fight against lung cancer and honors former Chase Manhattan Bank chairman Thomas G. Labrecque, Sr., a lifelong non-smoker who died from lung cancer at age 62. More than 6,700 people finished the four-mile race, and hundreds more completed a 1.3-mile health walk. All enjoyed spectacular spring weather and beautiful flora in Central Park. A post-race health fair and children’s activities drew big crowds as families made a glorious day of it. [Results] |
