It’s been a long, cold winter in New York City, but local runners showed today that the challenges of training through months of snow and ice have only made them stronger. Of the 11,494 finishers in the 2010 NYC Half-Marathon, many were running a local road race, and while they were thrilled to share the course with some of the best distance runners from around the world, they were not intimidated. There were great performances in all age groups and at all levels, with two of the fastest NYRR-member women and one man breaking into the overall top 10.
