NYC Half Marathon - Charity Gallery

Like the ING New York City Marathon, the NYC Half-Marathon attracts a robust group of altruistic fund-raisers who devote their time, training, and race to contribute funds and awareness to worthy causes. This year, more than 1,000 runners representing 36 charities toed the line with the combined goal of raising $1.5 million.

Jacqueline Adriano of Brooklyn ran in support of the Organization for Autism Research.
Jonathan Cannon of the American Cancer Society seemed to enjoy zipping to the finish line in 1:29:46.
Established by Fred Lebow, co-founder of the New York City Marathon, Fred’s Team raises money to support the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Robin Kornet (left) and Whitnee Shulman of Team in Training illustrated the effectiveness of teamwork—they finished the race side-by-side in 2:22:25.
This runner and her fans showed their support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation by donning the organization’s signature yellow bracelet.

If anybody can appreciate the importance of clean air, it’s runners—and these runners passionately advocated their cause.
Running a sub-1:30 half-marathon is an awesome accomplishment, and both of these Team Fox athletes ran fast times while supporting research for Parkinson’s disease.
These ladies were proud to support the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation…and celebrate at the post-race festival downtown.
