NYRR Supports Runners on National Running Day

On National Running Day, June 2, anyone who wanted to go for a run (or a walk) in Central Park or
Prospect Park could stop by at one of the NYRR Runner Support Stations to check a bag. After they'd done a bit of exercise, they could return for water and Gatorade. The stations were very popular on the warm evening: at 7:00 p.m., large groups of runners surrounded the Central Park station, just inside Engineers' Gate near East 90th Street. Prospect Park's station at Grand Army Plaza was also a welcome oasis for hot, thirsty travelers. Anyone who stopped by-and who had run to get there-was given a National Running Day sticker that announced "I Ran Today." Did you?
