| September 26, 2010 Spectators at The Continental Airlines Fifth Avenue Mile can count on excitement in every race, from seasoned professional athletes racing for serious prize money to kids who are just beginning their running careers. This year, more than 5,000 runners ranging in age from eight to 91 made their way down Manhattan's most famous thoroughfare to enthusiastic cheers. Under partly cloudy skies, age-group athletes staged some of the day's most dramatic races, including a neck-and-neck duel for the men's 70+ title and a sub-five-minute performance from 14-year-old Alberto Rivera.
