Whether the goal was a fast time or just a solid training run, conditions in Central Park were ideal on Sunday, January 24, and 5,456 runners took advantage at the Manhattan Half-Marathon. The race was the first 2010 event in the NYRR Half-Marathon Series Presented by Continental Airlines; the series will continue with the Brooklyn Half-Marathon in the spring and races in the Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island later in the year.
