There's nothing quite like diving into an ice-cold pool after a run on a sweltering day, which is why the NYRR's Dash & Splash 10K is such a hit with local runners. After racing a 6.2-mile loop of Central Park on a muggy Saturday, participants got to while away the rest of their morning splashing around in Lasker Pool, strategically located just a stone's throw (or a short jog) from the race's 102nd Street finish. The running shoes came off, the swim trunks and bikinis went on, and the good times (and photo ops) rolled.
