Emerald Nuts Midnight Run |
| December 31, 2009 / January 1, 2010 A cold, drizzly rain couldn’t dampen spirits at the 31st Emerald Nuts Midnight Run on New Year’s Eve in Central Park. The festivities began with dancing and a laser light show at the Central Park Bandshell, followed by a costume parade. The four-mile run started at the stroke of midnight, along with a fantastic fireworks show. Patrick Smyth of Team USA Minnesota and 2008 Olympian Erin Donohue ran to resounding victories, leading some 4,400 runners in a healthy start to 2010. [Results] [Event Video] [Iraq Event Video] |
