| This annual cross country race honors the memory of Harry “the Brush” Murphy, a founding member of NYRR and a co-founder of Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Track Club. A sign maker by profession, Murphy painted countless signs for NYRR events; he passed away in 1993. This year’s race in Van Cortlandt Park took place on a sparkling October morning and had nearly 300 finishers. |
