Race Number Pickup
Entrants are required to pick up their race numbers and participant shirt (sizes subject to availability) in advance. Runners must bring a copy of their race confirmation (printed from the confirmation e-mail or profile page) and photo ID. Materials may be picked up at the NYC Half-Marathon Expo, at the Metropolitan Pavilion North, 110 W. 19th Street on:
• Thursday, March 18 - 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Friday, March 19 - 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday, March 20 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
Please note: Absolutely no race numbers will be available on race morning. Runners MUST pick-up their own race number. No exceptions will be permitted.
*Number pickup (and the expo itself) will close at 5:00 p.m. SHARP on Saturday, March 20. No exceptions can or will be made for runners arriving late.
Three-Hour Time Limit
Please note that in the interest of safety, any NYC Half-Marathon participant who is not able to maintain a 13:45-per-mile pace throughout the race (3:00 projected finishing time) will be picked up along the course starting at approximately mile 8 and transported to the finish. The time it takes the last runner (who was at the start line at the start) to cross the start line will be added to the overall 3:00 time limit, ensuring all participants a 13:45-per-mile pace. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with this policy.
The Expo
The NYC Half-Marathon Expo will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion (North Pavilion) at 110 W. 19th Street (bet. 6th & 7th Avenue) on:
Thursday, March 18: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday, March 19, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 20, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Sharp)

The Start
NYRR recommends the following entry points:
- Runners with race numbers between 1-6,999 to enter the park at 5th Avenue and 97th Street
- Runners with race numbers between 7,000-15,999 to enter the park at 5th Avenue and 102nd Street Transverse [Course]
Baggage Facilities
All runners wishing to check their baggage should go to Fifth Avenue between 97th and 102nd Streets, where all the UPS baggage trucks will be located. The lowest bib numbers will be closest to 97th St. and will work their way up.
You MUST use the goody bag provided by NYRR as your race-day checked bag. No other bags will be accepted.
A baggage sticker that indicates your baggage zone will be included in your race packet. Affix your sticker to the outside of your goody bag.
Baggage will open at 6:00 a.m. and closes promptly at 7:00 a.m.
Baggage can be reclaimed at the Finish Area on River Terrace between Warren and Murray Sts. All finisher baggage must be claimed before 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. All unclaimed baggage will be transported NYRR Office at 9 E. 89th Street, where it can be claimed for one week. After one week, all baggage will be donated to charity.
New York Road Runners is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Awards and Prize Money
Awards will be given in all applicable NYRR running categories. The top three men and women will be honored at 10:00 a.m. [Awards Breakdown]
TV/Internet Live Broadcast
The 90-minute live broadcast will start at 7:30 a.m. EDT and will feature the men’s and women’s professional race. It will be seen on Universal Sports TV and streamed on UniversalSports.com. NYRR and Flotrack.com have also teamed up to offer live streaming feeds of the race from the start, Times Square, and the finish. [Watch]

Race Scoring
The NYC Half-Marathon is a scored race and counts toward the nine races NYRR members, as of January 31, 2010, need to be eligible for guaranteed entry to the ING New York City Marathon 2011.
This race is timed using the ChronoTrack D-Tag timing system.
The D-Tag timing device will be attached to your race number when you pick it up prior to the race. You must remove the tag from your number and attach it to your shoe prior to the race, following the instructions that you will receive with your race number. The tag is disposable; it will not be collected after the race.
All participants in this race must wear the D-Tag in order to have their times recorded.

Lost and Found
The NYRR Lost and Found is located in the volunteer tent on race day. Items can also be turned-in and/or claimed at NYRR's front desk on the next business day following the race.
Rules of Competition
The NYC Half-Marathon is organized and conducted under USA Track & Field rules and regulations. Entrants must also comply with New York Road Runners (NYRR) rules and all applicable rules and regulations of the City of New York and its agencies and departments, including the Department of Parks & Recreation.
No skates, strollers, or animals are permitted in the NYC Half-Marathon.
The use of headphones is strongly discouraged.
NYRR reserves the right to reject any entry and to disqualify and bar any individual from the NYC Half-Marathon. This rejection/disqualification may be based on, but is not limited to: violation of the aforementioned rules; unsportsmanlike conduct; non-payment of race fees; competing with an unofficial number; competing with an official number or d-tag assigned to another person; transferring or attempting to transfer an official number or d-tag to, or to obtain such number or d-tag from, another person; being paced during the race by a person not entered in the Half-Marathon; accepting assistance from non-race participants; crossing the finish line without having completed the entire course; and providing false information on the race entry form. Individuals disqualified from the Half-Marathon will be removed from the race results and may be barred from future Half-Marathons and other NYRR events.
