Live amplified music from Julian Peterson. Originally from Colorado, Julian is a soulful singer/songwriter based in NYC. Julian will be playing the NYC Half Marathon for the second time this spring.
West side of 44th St. and 7th Ave
NYRR presents the Times Square Sing-A-Long
For the third straight year, spectators and runners alike will have the opportunity to follow along with Broadway performers as they sing favorite classic songs. Don’t worry about forgetting the lyrics; they’ll be displayed on a giant video screen. And they’ll be aided by the cheering squad from CHEER NY and NYRR Youth Programs school kids.
This is a must see (and Sing) experience!
42nd Street between 7th and 8th avenues
Live music from East River Blues Band. Gut-wrenching harmonica playing, howling whiskey ballads, and soul-filled blues guitar.
42nd Street between 8th and 9th avenues
Bop Monroe & Pocket Monster This poppy, punky, surf rock band are veterans of both the NYC Half-Marathon and ING New York City Marathon.
West Side Highway
Jingle Punks. AKA Group Sounds, this same act is no stranger to the NYC Half Marathon- that was them rocking the top of a double decker tour bus in Times Square a few years ago. With the U.S.S. Intrepid as their backdrop, these cover song specialists will perform classic rock and tracks from "Top Gun."
40th Street and West Side Highway
The Mondays. Power pop band.
34th Street
Penguin Revolution. Funky ska rock.
15th St. and West Side Highway
This Brooklyn-based runner/singer-songwriter plays songs about running at the ideal cadence for quick efficient strides. She’ll be playing by her teammates the Hudson Dusters at the nearby Fluid Station.
West Side Highway "Corridor of Sound"
As runners make their final push to the finish, a “Corridor of Sound” on West Side Highway will feature four D.J. stations at the below cross-streets to motivate both runners and fans with a variety of New York City sounds.
