Record Field for the Gridiron!
An event-record 6,058 runners turned out for the 21st annual NYRR Gridiron Classic 4M on February 5, including a few dozen who lined up to channel their inner Eli at the Longest Football Throw Competition. Tune in to the Millrose Games
The 105th Millrose Games will be aired on YouTube starting at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11. Highlights of the meet will include the NYRR Wanamaker Women's Metric Mile at 8:00 p.m. (featuring world champion Jenny Simpson) and the NYRR Wanamaker Men's Mile at 9:49 p.m. For the first time, the Millrose Games will take place at the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory in Washington Heights; purchase your tickets before they sell out!
Club Night 2012
Get your tickets now for NYRR Club Night on March 1 at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square! Club Night is a special annual celebration of the camaraderie, competition, and diversity of running in NYC. Tickets are just $50 for an evening of food, fun, awards, drinking, and dancing. [Details]
Support the MMRF PowerTeam
On February 8, some 110 runners will climb 86 flights to raise funds for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) at the 35th annual Empire State Building Run-Up. Recognized as one of the most significant innovators in cancer research, the MMRF welcomes donations and support from all runners.
April, May, and June Races
We're pleased to announce that we'll be opening registration for races in April, May, and June at noon on or about Friday, February 10. Check out our calendar and plan your spring season now! With road events at distances from 5K to the half-marathon, as well as kids' races, health walks, and track meets, there's something for everyone. Please note that registration for the Brooklyn Half-Marathon on May 19 and the NYRR New York Mini 10K on June 9 will open later in February; stay tuned.
